Everyone’s Got a Story: Content Generation in a Social Media World
Social media is everywhere these days. Why not let it help shape the yearbook?
Consider launching a social media yearbook campaign for content. If the yearbook had a Twitter account and a Facebook page, students and faculty outside of the yearbook staff could post pictures and stories. Suddenly, opportunities abound for great, one-of-a-kind photos from anyone who happened to be at the right place at the right time. Tweets like “Got pics from the game last night? Tweet them to us @HSyearbook” offer the chance for everyone to be involved and share great content. The yearbook isn’t just about a small group of people creating something for the entire student body; it’s about the entire student body creating something together. And that has the power to generate a lot of excitement.
