Yearbooks for Everyone! New Contests Kicks Off in Celebration of National Yearbook Week
Picaboo Yearbooks Seeks Deserving Schools to Submit Their Story for a Chance to Win Free Yearbooks
HANOVER, NH
All students should have the opportunity to have a yearbook, which is why Picaboo Yearbooks has announced the first annual My School Deserves a Yearbook contest. This contest is part of Picaboo’s annual Yearbooks for Everyone Fund, which helps make yearbooks a reality for students and districts who might not otherwise be able to afford them.
The contest kicks off on October 5, in celebration of National Yearbook Week, and runs through November 20. Winners will be announced on December 1, 2015, in observance of Giving Tuesday. Teachers, administrators and parents are encouraged to submit a compelling story (250 words or less) about why their school deserves to win free yearbooks. Students under 18 will need to have a parent or guardian enter on their behalf. The winner will receive 100 free yearbooks for their school.
“It is our ongoing mission to make sure that every student can experience the joy of receiving their memories preserved in a yearbook no matter their situation,” says Kevin McCurdy, CEO of Picaboo Yearbooks. “We understand that some schools have discontinued their yearbook programs due to extenuating circumstances, or that some students are unable to pay the cost associated with yearbooks which is precisely why we created this contest.”
